Activities and Designs
Welcome to "Sharing the LOAD" - an 18-month JISC-funded project exploring the reusability of learning designs.
We have taken forward our work on reusable learning objects to create a learning design taxonomy based on designs implicit in our existing collections of mature reusable content.
Using these designs as a starting point, we invited participation in a series of hands-on engaging learning design workshops to capture 'real-world' learning designs.
We then selected the learning designs judged to be most shareable across subjects and have created exemplars in the form of generative learning object (GLO) tools, which we are showcased on this website.
A major output is the Learning Object Attribute Metric (LOAM) tool which allows comparison of the pedagogical attributes of learning objects mapped to IMS LD framework.
We have also disseminated the findings widely.
