Welcome to ELSIE!
ELSIE was a 12-month project (from Oct 2004 - Oct 2005) funded by Health Sciences & Practice Subject Centre to create reusable learning objects (RLOs) to support interprofessional education. Project partners are UCeL, University of Cambridge and Homerton School of Health Studies.
This site is the main gateway to the resources and the RLOs plus their component parts which are stored and linked to here. Reuse of these resources is actively encouraged, please link to and acknowledge ELSIE and the Health Sciences and Practice Subject Centre.
To raise awareness and set the whole project rolling, two workshops took place in November, one in Cambridge the other in Nottingham. The workshops generated 7 RLO specifications.
Three RLOs were developed: "Gateways to Health" by Tessa Muncey and Jane Key "Why do we need confidentiality?" by Pamela Black, Becky Tovey et al and "Acids, Alkalis and Bases: An Introduction" by Jennifer Dandrea.
