A community of practice
UCeL is a real community of practice, creating, sharing and evaluating RLOs. We are technology-enabled but not technology driven and all our outputs are based on real educational need. This means that we can grow organically, from the bottom-up rather than being a fixed structure imposed from the top-down. Because we are a distributed community and we believe that "you can't replace face-to-face" we have implemented a range of activities, programmes and events that bring people together in innovative, enjoyable and productive ways. Our workshops are internationally acclaimed and a proven catalyst for content creation. Our residential programmes offer great staff development as well as networking opportunities. In all our programmes we provide a stimulating and supportive environment where educators, developers and students can come together to share expertise, experiences and content.
